America can do magic! This band has put their legions of fans from many generations under a spell for over half a century. Not only have they enthralled music lovers with their array of massive and timeless hits, but they have also captivated audiences with their exceptional and infectious energy on the concert stage. With that, the band released news about an exciting addition to their band line-up.

“We are incredibly excited to announce our return to performing live and to have Andy Barr back with us,” said Dewey Bunnell, founding member of America. “It’s been too long since we’ve been able to connect with our fans in person, and we can’t wait to share the stage again and bring our music to life.”

Vocalist - guitarists Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley were Americans based in London when they formed America the band in 1970. That year, they released their self-titled debut album which ignited audiences's interest through the lead single “A Horse with No Name". It was burning radio charts in many parts of the world, selling over a million copies, then quickly bagged a platinum disc in no time. As America amassed an immense collection of radio hits, they compiled into "History" - their first greatest hits collection selling a whopping four million plus records that merited 6x platinum awards. Along the way, America also picked up a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Group at the 15th Annual Grammy Awards in 1973.

When asked by the press what could be the band's favorite among all the hits that they've spawned, Gerry Beckley was quick to reply that the massive 70s summer hit "Ventura Highway", tops their list.

"I think it sustained its youthful optimism and stuff, yeah," Bunnell said. "And again, that guitar lick, as soon as you hear it."
