Alton Brown is bidding farewell to over two decades of culinary antics on TV and on the live stage. Know as the man behind "Good Eats", "Iron Chef America", and his interactive live shows - "Eat Your Science", "Edible Inevitable", and "Beyond the Eats", he just announced his *probably* last stage show every - "LAST BITE". At age 62, he's ready to put the spatula down, and cook up an entertaining show on stage for the last time. Always sharing his gastronomical genius and scientific knowledge on TV and on his stage shows, you can expect his last bite to feature your favorite culinary demonstrations, live music, and inspiring monologues.
"This will be my last big road show," Brown told PEOPLE Magazine in an exclusive feature. Hoping to spend more time with family, he feels that it's time for him to bid goodbye to the limelight. "I'm 62 and I've always said that the secret to being a good guest at a cocktail party is knowing when to leave — and it may be time for me to leave."
Though he isn't calling it a retirement, it's his LAST BITE... for now. Rocking your TV screens since 1999, it's time for the man to take a step back, proudly sharing his culinary feasts on the big stage for the last time. "After the tour, I'll take a break maybe and disappear for a little while and see if the world misses me. If it doesn't, oh, well, I had a good run," he said.
Teasing that Last Bite will pack the same familiar format as his previous shows, you can expect live music, funny spiels, inspiring monologues, and a "very large, very unusual culinary demonstration." There's also costumes, history lessons, science trivia, and pop-culture references in the mix. Plus, he also spilled some insider info about the second part of the show - it "concerns the great hero of the Industrial Revolution, steam, and a food that in America would not have existed..."
Having performed in over 200 cities to over 500,000 fans in attendance, he cemented his name as one of the most iconic names in food entertainment. Moreover, he's releasing his tenth book "Food for Thought" in February 2025, featuring a collection of essays. Making it in time for his LAST BITE, it's a last piece of closure before the man wraps it all up.
Inspiring generations of foodies, he's definitely made a mark in the gastronomic world. Make sure the whole fam has the best seats for the night by booking your tickets now!
