Transparent Arts, the band's agency shared that their new record will highlight their musical universe. It's a journey through their signature melodies and emotionally-driven tracks. With new stories and life reflections to share, everyone's in for a huge surprise real soon. As May comes right around the corner, we're finally getting our hands on the whole album. "The EP, featuring various musical genres, encapsulates The Rose’s dreams, challenges and growth, pushing the envelope," the agency shared, as cited from Korea JoongAng Daily.
The band's history finds itself through humble beginnings when Dojoon and Jaehyeong met as both were busking around Hongdae. Forming a trio with Hajoon, they started posting covers on YouTube. Later on, they recruited Woosung to join the band as their lead singer.
In 2017, they debuted with "Sorry", attracting international attention with Rolling Stone India describing the song as "a fantastic introduction to the band's soft-rock vibe." Billboard named the track as one of the best Korean pop songs of the year. Surrounded by a sea of K-Pop groups, The Rose stands out as a rocking good listen.
In 2022, they released "HEAL" which featured heartbreak stories and growth, debuting on the Billboard Heatseekers albums chart at #4. They also went on a tour seen by over 90,000 people globally, and marked themselves as the first South Korean band to perform at Coachella in 2024.
Their second album "DUAL" shared two sides of the coin, their surprising angsty energies through "Back To Me", and their familiar soothing melodies on "You're Beautiful". True to their hearts, they're set to share courage and the ability to keep dreaming. On their upcoming release, the record is teased to feel like a warm embrace.
