Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie
From Saturday Night Live skits to the movie screens, and now, a tour full of belly laughs - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler just can not be stopped. Now on its third year after a slew of successful shows and added dates, The Restless Leg Tour starring Fey & Poehler is back for the Spring of 2025, and coming to The Texas Trust Theatre on Saturday, April 26th!
The tour will start in Florida in late March and features fourteen shows in iconic venues all across America. So get ready, Grand Prairie! Tina Fey is a household name in comedy who came onto the scene in Chicago’s Second City improv group before moving to New York City for a slot as a writer on Saturday Night Live(SNL) in 1997. After excelling there and moving to the front of the show as a host, she earned comedic fame and garnered millions of laughs across America and the world. She’s won a host of awards and earned kudos from celebrities and fans for her deadpan humor and witty comebacks. She’s the most relatable comedian to the everyday person, and a must see act for anyone who’s ever seen the host of shows and movies she’s been in, like SNL, 30 Rock, Mean Girls, and Maggie Moore. She’s won awards for her comedy gold and hosted awards shows to get the crowds going (you might have seen her last hosting the Golden Globes in 2023 where the crowd literally couldn’t stop laughing), so why would you not want to see her?!
Joining Fey on tour is her SNL Cohost and equally accomplished woman comedian, Amy Poehler. Poehler also got her start in Chicago’s Second City scene before going to New York for her Saturday night spot in 2001. She then hopped over to Parks & Rec, and here career has been exploding ever since. She’s been in a host of movies that have also starred Fey, such as Mean GIrls and Wine Country, and has done voice acting in iconic animated series such as Shrek and Horton Hears a Who. Amy has also hosted the Golden Globes four times, and for all of her accolades, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is as comedy gold as it gets, and credits her success to her time working in improv, and not taking herself too seriously.
Fey and Poehler have an unmatchable energy on stage.
