Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie
If you love hearing about the weirdest, scariest, and most intriguing crimes in America and the world at large, then you're probably a fan of the Crime Junkie Podcast. Brit Prawat and Ashley Flowers are going on tour this year, and they're making a stop at the Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie on Sunday, March 30th. They're calling the road trip the Life Rule #10 tour.
What you get with these live experiences are true-crime stories that you know and love, plus a little extra sauce. There's a reason why these two ladies have been on top of the podcast world way before everyone and their mother had one. You also get a chance to see their personal side. That's something that doesn't come out too often in the regular episodes. People who are fans of the podcast probably fell in love with it in that pure audio version. Now they've done a lot more video content, and this is obviously not the first tour. The reason why the old days of the show are relevant is because these two were able to create an audience when podcasting wasn't as popular. That meant that people weren't necessarily as open to listening to podcasts. One of the tricks that they used to pull this off, above all else, is amazing story telling. There's something about Ashley Fliwer's voice that keeps people engaged in the podcast. The exact same thing is going to happen to you on this live version of the show. No worries there!
Another element that you get out of these live shows is the behind-the-scenes look at how they source a lot of these stories. The girls from Crime Junkie Podcast are many times actually working with local police. A lot of these cold cases are getting put out there through podcasts and these live shows to see if there are people listening who might have information on them! It's a bit of a civil service. Yet, it also means that Crime Junkie Podcast Live may not be for the faint of heart. At the end of the day, knowing some of these criminals are still out there is kind of spooky.
