Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie
The Texas Trust CU Theater at Grand Prairie is getting one of the most eye-opening events of the season come Sunday, March 23rd. The Thorn, a modern theatrical experience depicting the life and death of Jesus Christ, is taking over the venue for a few days. On the aforementioned Sunday, March 23rd, the show will take place in Español! It's very important to make sure you're getting seats for The Thorn in the right language.
There are certainly a lot of Spanish-speaking people in North Texas, and that's why the producers of this theatrical experience are bringing the en Español version of The Thorn to Grand Prairie. A multitude of dancers and performers will take the stage to provide an amazing take on the greatest story ever told! If you want to be a part of the experience and see it in Spanish, be sure to click the get tickets button on this page.
It's extremely fitting how different presentations of the life of Christ each provide insight into a specific part of the story. In this case, we're referring to the Passion of the Christ, the movie, The Chosen TV series, and The Thorn. These are, without a doubt, the big-budget iterations of the story across the most important media formats. In the case of the Thorn, there's a heavy emphasis on the "battle" that's going on in the spiritual realm throughout the life of Jesus. That's not necessarily a part of the story that's covered as in depth in the movie or the TV series. Of course, it helps that the production has been able to recruit amazing performers to depict these battles through dances and different types of performances.
All of this makes The Thorn an interesting watch, even for people who might not be regular churchgoers. It's a take on the story that allows certain elements to jump off the page and resonate with you in a way that they maybe hadn't before. Of course, on Sunday, March 23, in Grand Prairie, the big advantage is that the show is in Español! The dancing and the different elements that are used to tell the story are truly a universal language. What changes is that, obviously, the narrator will be speaking in Spanish, but truth be told, anyone can enjoy and, quite frankly, understand what's going on on stage. Thanks, of course, to the fact that the story of Jesus is so universal.
This might be one of the few events where being too close to the stage won't be ideal. There are plenty of visual elements that the show uses apart from the actors on stage. A lot of these are going to be more visible from further back in the theater. Knowing this, you may want to find a spot in that lower 200s section. Ideally, your seats will also be toward the middle of the venue. Those are the best spots to see The Thorn En Español. Click the get tickets button now to be a part of this show.
