With over 40 years since their formation, of blessing the music industry with their timeless hits "Hold the Line", "Rosanna", and "Africa", Toto is back with a new lineup, gearing up to bring the groove back to the live stage at their newly-announced DOGZ OF OZ WORLD TOUR. Presented by David Paich, a new band lineup will be joining Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams on the road.
Their new band members include bassist John Pierce, drummer Robert "Sput" Searight, keyboardist Steve Maggiora, keyboardist Dominique "Xavier" Taplin, and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Warren Ham. As an ensemble, they're all taking part in this mission of keeping Toto's musical legacy and influence alive for generations to come.
With over two billion streams around the globe across all of their streaming platforms, Toto has found itself amassing a following from a new generation of listeners. With "Africa" and their other hits continuing to hit the global airwaves, TOTO remains to be a legendary band for generations to remember. They've received several Grammy Awards including "Record of the Year" and "Album of they Year". In 2009, they were inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum.
On their 15th incarnation, the band has been through a lot, and yet continued to strive to keep the groove going. "We were serious fucking musicians," shared Lukather. "But we came out exactly the same time as the Sex Pistols, and it didn’t go well when we were compared to them. I mean, I think we’re the most critically reviled band of all time."
